Interesting - I knew of vinegar to clean windows (Windolene AFAIK is basically that) but didn't know it had anti-misting properties. Anyone know why?

It's hydrophillic so water lies flat against the surface rather than balling up and becoming opaque (which we see as mist/clouds etc.)

Which is ideal for the small volumes of water you're talking about inside a car. For much larger volumes (ie external surface) you're better off with extreme hydrophobic coatings to help rain run off.

I use the lidl (-60) stuff. It is around £6 for 5l and have used it neat without any problems. It is the luck of the draw as to when it is on sale however i remember it still being available a good month or two after the launch in my local branch.
