To all those that said coil pack, you were indeed correct.
Coil pack gone and a spark plug with it
All fixed and get it back tomorrow, MOT and Service done too.
Unfortunately couldn't get a Skoda Octavia VRS on my MOT
Good, hope it wasn't too much of a dent in the wallet!

*pats head* Good boy
Seriously though thanks to all
The repair didn't cost me a penny thankfully, they honored the lifetime warranty so the repair was free. Otherwise they would have charged 350 for the coil pack alone and 17 for the damaged spark plug...
While they had the car, they asked if they were ok to do the service and MOT at the same time, of course I said yes...that cost me £245..
It surprised me how people question such service costs.
Most people buy a car as new as they can, it devalues thousands just driving it off the dealer forecourt and then it devalues thousands per year just aging on the driveway. Paying a few hundred quid to keep your investment in good health seems like a good idea to me. If you don't trust your mechanic, then that is a different issue ofc.
That's fair enough, especially for a major service. It was just that it was described as "done on warranty; do you mind if we do a service on it as well" just sounded like they might have been taking advantage. You know, like those "free checks" where they will no doubt find something to make it worth their time; I am a very skeptical person!
Audi charge around that just for an oil change if the car is new. If you're comparing two cars at the same price then servicing costs are likely to be factor in choosing which one to go with, and had I known (because the advertised prices don't apply to cars less than 3 years old) I would have been more tempted to go with someone else!
Disturbed... pls ENSURE they have RE REGISTERED you for the next year of LIFETIME warranty please.
It's up to the retailer to do it (they pay actually) and it needs doing every year to keep it working,
Lets face it... ytou just saved more than you spent and the MOT is nothing to do with the warranty so you now understand the true value of the Lifetime Warranty (which has been discontinued since Jan 1 this year for all new clients)

Especially at this time of the year.
I've just had my engine management light pop up, check the coding via pressing the Accel and Brake pedal and starting the car up at the 2nd stroke on ignition. This would then prompt the dash to light an icon in a sequence to provide a code.
Turns out its my lambada sensor, need it to go in next week, hopefully not pricey.
