Suzuki Cappuccino, because I like small cute Japanese cars.

Lamborghini Chountach, as I believe its the car I could first same the name of and started my love of Lambos.

Video Game cars would be the Nakamura Ikusa GT from Burnout Paradise (I know its a really a GTR)

    Okay, I'll bite.

A mate of mine is a bit of an Aston nut. At times, he's had DB4's, DB5's and DB6's. My experience of that was that he spent far more time working on them than driving them. They were, of course, impressive for the time, but in terms of comfort, reliability, performance, specification, etc, the newer ones have them beaten hands-down.

I test drove a DB7 before buying an M3 and, while nice, decided that the M3 suited my motoring needs, st leadt at that time, much better and was not much above half the price. I tested the DB8 when considering replacing the M3, but in the end decided to go M3.

So sure, the Bond car is iconic, but we're both reading interpretations into the thread question. My interpretation was about what, given a free choice, I'd buy. You seem to be thinking more abstract than that. That's why some cars I've always fancied got crossed off my list the moment I tried them. Like the Esprit for instance. Or for that matter, the Countach which has God-awful driver vision, out the back. Neither, IMHO, would be practical everyday cars .... and nor would a DB5.

It all depends what we mean by 'favourite'.

You're right, of course. Modern cars are naturally superior to older ones. I'm looking at it from purely a design perspective. Drive-wise I'd have to go with something current every time - unless there was a way to gut a classic, re-fit it with all modern tech and just keep the shell and interior intact. I just prefer the look of a lot of classic cars to more modern ones.

If I had to go more 'practical' I'd go a whole different direction. I've always been partial to Subarus. Understated design, practicality, but also a little something extra in some of their designs - the legendary rally car - has appealed to me.
I think I think I could easily lean towards an apparently excellent BRZ

or even an Outback for a car that I'd be fully satisfied with.

Or if those are a bit too practical for the thread, I think I'd edge towards a Porsche 911

    or even a Ford GTR350

    Re: All time favorite car(s)?

I admit to an affection for the Suburus, but may we're different ages.

At my age, the Suburus are a bit boy-racer-ish. A bit .... brash. A bit mid-life crisis, as it were. M3, M4, even M5 ... or AMG Merc, kn the other hand ....

Hence my overall option for that Bentley .... money-petmitting.

It looks like any other big, high-end luxury cruiser but .... seen the spec? Tried one? It is a real wolf in sheep's clothing, and would even give the average sporty Suburu owner a right shock, with it's sub 4 sec to 60 performance, and the grunt of the HP and torque.

    Re: All time favorite car(s)?

I mentioned the McLaren 570s earlier, because that's the one I drove on the track, but I reckon for normal driving, I'd get the 570GT. Just because it's more practical.

And then I'd get a Landy, for when it rains. Probably one like this, cos my son likes them...

Actually, not one like that, it doesn't even have a roof...

Roofs don't make a huge difference in landies anyway. If yours doesn't leak then it's not a true landy

Yes, import one from Germany or Japan They did add gutters to Landies, but it doesn't really help.

The Multipla, aside from its horrendous looks, is/was quite a good car from what I've heard - my dad (car know-it-all) is a fan, anyway.

Doubt it'd be on anyone's favourite lists - for a people transporter there's no competition to the Espace F1

About the closest I came to liking a boy racer car was the XR3i and I think most of that was nostalgia.
