Clicking sound is often a dead battery - I had one do that, put a new battery in and it fired straight up.

Vectra has a transponder in the key, for the Immobiliser, and remote only does the alarm
Do it all in a logical order: don't cut corners
New Battery in: does the interior light come on? Does the central locking work, with remote OR with key in lock.
New car batteries... might be flat, semi flat or not good enough for the size of engine. It's a V6 3.2.. its a large engine. A clicking noise is OFTEN a flat battery
Do you have a SPARE key? Have you tried it?
Is it an AUTO gearbox?
If so, is it DEFINTELY in PARK or NEUTRAL?
Jump packs....
are great for 1.2 little hatchbacks
for a V6 .. good luck there then. If it's totally flat.. you have zero hope.
Jump LEADS.. good ones...leave the other car running... leave cars connected for 15 minutes and gently rev donor car.. up to 2k revs is fine.... wait for the Vectra to take some charge BEFORE trying it.....
