Thats be no means the first golf with two engines. a few years ago when i used to read Max Power there was a twin engined VR6 they took to one of the big race tracks. They got kicked out for "going to fast" it's a race track for petes sake!
but it could have had something to do with speniding more time going sideways than straight ahead i think...
