    Skype Application for Blackberry

I've been searching around for a temporary Skype application which doesn't require Skype out and desktop plugins (java app?).

Anyone aware of one, or have one they use? I realise Skype have recently released a press release saying their version of 'Skype Lite' will be available in May.. but until then just wondering whether there are any options available?

    I have a BB8900,
    Thanks.

    Lewis.

    Ferral,

The App for the Iphone version is already on the App Store, however users who have jailbroke there handsets are having issues with the application crashing etc.

    Re: Skype Application for Blackberry

    Yeah thats understandable.

Another thing worth mentioning though is that most the networks are actually blocking Skype over the data network, so if you are wanting to use it on Blackberry or iPhone you have to use it over Wi-Fi

I believe that 3 and Orange are the only exception to this, 3 because they have the Skype phones. However, I'm not 100% sure on Orange. I know O2 and Vodafone block it over the data network

Skype works fine on my jailbroken iphone, and also have VOIPover3G installed so it works not only in Wi-Fi areas.
