The Blackberry Storm is UTTER ****

So, I'm looking at doing a new venture with a friend of mine, so that in my spare time we can discuss things, i've been given a company blackberry storm, its on one of those nice vodafone call your colleges as much as you want type contracts.

The problem is the phone is absolutely awful. Battery life on standby can't manage 24 hours when using push email. Talk time is worse, it can last at most 2 hours, on average 1.5 hours.

So its absolutely useless as a business mobile phone.

But as if that wasn't bad enough the UI is just horrible. The web browser is pathetic, it can't represent any websites very well. The onscreen keyboard is fricken useless, and what is with the screen moving when u press it? That makes my finger slide, giving it a good chance of hitting the wrong key.

It just real fails on every task you expect of a phone. Its an utter waste of space.

You could try updating the phone, using a firmware from the crackberry forums.

I have a storm and although i do like the phone, like you say the battery life is shocking.

However i have just put the leaked firmware on it and it seems to have improved it a little.

Definately go for the bold over the storm or an excellent alternative to blackberry phones would be the Nokia e71.
