Hobnobs are fun.. it takes them ages to soak up just enough liquid.. then bam, they easily fall to pieces.
Malted milk is my fave though!.

Finding it hard to see the attraction in HobNobs.

Not in any way arguing that they are not a dunking-type biscuits - they clearly are - but simply that the texture in the mouth is not what I want from a biscuit.

If I want that sort of feel, I'll eat crisps.

No.1 son - who tells me he once had a fad about HobNobs - reckons I'd better enjoy the chocolate-coated variety but, since I don't think that the texture there is going to be any different, I don't think I'll be bothering.

Clearly, Rys and Lee are a LOT harder than me.

I thought the texture was one of their better points. The chocolate coated ones do go down easier than the normal. Each to their own I suppose

You all need to try the Tim Tam Slam
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Tam_Slam

You can get Tim Tam's at the Australia Shop in London or use the local 'Penguin' version.

    Ginger nuts + Coffee,
Custard Creams and orange squash (a leftover from the days i used to get dragged to church coffee mornings with grandparents)
    AND THE ULTIMATE:
PENGUIN STRAW OF TASTY DELIGHT!!! Bite opposite corners off and use it like a straw, hideous to watch and listen to, but absolutely delicous, the trick is to just fill the biscuit with coffee without getting any in your mouth (it tastes wrong) and then trying to eat the delicous treat now in your posession before its highly temperature sensitiv outer casing is eroded away and you end up with it down your front.

The time tam slam is great. I think it works best with a twix though rather than their suggestions.

I do enjoy the dunking of caramel fingers in tea, but my fav is probably cookies in milk.
