if it ain't broke...fix it till it is
Skag boys by Irvine Welsh is damn good. Although the Edinburgh patois may be difficult for many to follow!
An Atlantean Triumvirate
Ghosts of the Past
The Centre Cannot Hold
My eBooks are available here for Amazon Kindle. Feedback always welcome!
Robert Winston - The human mind
Very well written book about the workings of the brain.
Stephen King - The wind through the keyhole
its a good intro to the dark tower series and one of his best books, audio book version also includes first chapter of follow up the the shining which is out 2013
For anyone who enjoyed Operation Mincemeat I'd recommend Agent Zigzag by the same author.
Humans, the only animal stupid enough to pay to live on the planet Earth.
It's hard to pick just one book. There are so many amazing classics out there. There are a few other books that come to mind but they're the only books written by their respective authors. I'll go with We Need To Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver. A book that was so good that it made me order another book by the author called So Much for That... again, a brilliant piece of work which in turn made me order everything Shriver has written to date. Shriver is my favourite contemporary author.
I recommend 'Good to great' by Jim Collins, my fav business book.
The A.B.C. Murder - Agatha Christie
Detective/Crime fiction; one of the Hercule Poirot series. It's very interesting and the language is very engaging. Actually offer clues so you might solve the case.
Straight From The Horses Mouth by Keith Hughan - amazon.co.uk - kindle book True story! One mans fight against the big boys.
First of all I would like to mention that the content of this book is for everyone, so don't go thinking that it was written for the horse racing fraternity. Don't worry if you haven't got a clue about betting because I didn’t. It’s unique in the sense that you will never find another book like it. Therefore I hope this book will warm you - if you have a heart that is..........
I am just your normal man you would see walking down the street whistling, with a sledgehammer holding my hand.
“Straight from the Horse’s Mouth” is the title of this book and that’s what you’re going to get!
Go and make yourself a cup of tea, get the biscuit tin out, sit in your favourite armchair, and digest what I'm about to tell you.
Stephen King's first book in the Dark Tower series, Gunslinger. It's one of my favourite books, only regret is it's too graphic to read to my kid yet.
