I have some Salvatore on my Kindle, not that one sadly, I'll give him a go thanks

I think its still prob one of his best ( first 3 ) i stopped reading after 10,000 orcs , the stuff from his early days in the Underdark and Loth is good too .

Just finished Hellstrom's Hive also by Frank Herbert, very disturbing.

i read one of his books yrs ago... Creed ??

didnt like it, then again I hate King too , cant get into his style at all ( just the books ) not sure why .

can i also recommend joe abercrombie's "first law" trilogy (book 1 - the blade itself, book 2 - before they are hanged, book 3 - last argument of kings) fantastic series

Stephen King - The wind through the keyhole

its a good intro to the dark tower series and one of his best books, audio book version also includes first chapter of follow up the the shining which is out 2013

It's hard to pick just one book. There are so many amazing classics out there. There are a few other books that come to mind but they're the only books written by their respective authors. I'll go with We Need To Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver. A book that was so good that it made me order another book by the author called So Much for That... again, a brilliant piece of work which in turn made me order everything Shriver has written to date. Shriver is my favourite contemporary author.

I couldn't agree more. The zombie apocalypse is coming - it is a question of when, not if. It may or may not be in my lifetime, but it will happen, and humanity needs to be prepared if we are to stand any chance of survival!

The A.B.C. Murder - Agatha Christie

Detective/Crime fiction; one of the Hercule Poirot series. It's very interesting and the language is very engaging. Actually offer clues so you might solve the case.

Stephen King's first book in the Dark Tower series, Gunslinger. It's one of my favourite books, only regret is it's too graphic to read to my kid yet.
