    550D Top cover vent

I'm currently prepping a watercooled build in a 550D... not the easiest thing to do I must say, but that's another story.

I'm fitting a 240 rad in the roof of the case. Now, whilst I know that the top panel is removable, it's a complete eyesore when off. I mean, Corsair have gone to great lengths to make the case look really nice, including the benefit of removable panels to truly truly destroy it's aesthetics!

Short of whipping out the self-mod hammer, does Corsair provide a vented top panel? (there's no such option I can find on the Corsair website).

I'm in exactly the same boat with my 550d, but as far as I can find there's no alternative top or side panels. You either have airflow or looks, sadly not both

    Re: 550D Top cover vent

Since my last post I have actually come up with a very bodge solution. I have placed the lid on some rubber blocks from old hdd mounts. Keeps the vents clear for air exhaust, but stops dust falling in when the pc is off and lessens the noise more than not having it at all.

I'll have to have a look at that. I have bought a 240 radiator grill that I was planning to fit into the the cover - probably glue / rivet into place.

That's a nice looking solution, so I'm a little concerned that the cover would break cutting that close to the edges!
