About Corsair 650D front panel USB 3.0

As far as I know, the front panel USB3 of 650D can not be connected to the mother, it has to be connected to the back USB3.0, it costs 2 usb3 port and looks really ugly. Is this still the case? I hope the design can be improved.

Still the case. Althought you can buy an adaptor for less than 5 pounds that converts the cable into motherboard friendly connection.

I couldn't agree more, it looks ugly indeed. But, to be fair the 650D case pre-dates the internal USB3.0 implementation on the motherboard, hence, the USB3.0 cable coming from the front I/O panel is a type A connector. We do have an adapter so you can plug them in internally to the MB header.

I have built over a dozen high-end CAD workstations ($7200 USD) using the 650D, and with careful cable management and a few zip-ties I have been able to plug the cables into the back panel taking up no more room than any of the other wires that get plugged in. Really doesn't look bad at all. This case has really got it all and is built to be bullet proof.
And as stated by others, if it really bothers you, you can purchase the adapter.

Thank you for sharing your sentiment. I am almost certain that many 650D owners feels the same way including myself, an ex-650D owner
