750D top fan mounts rubber grommets

    Hi,

feel a bit silly with this as it seems a touch petty, but I have got a 750D for my next build and I have managed to lose a number of the rubber anti vibration mounts for fans that are to be attached to the top side. Am I able to get these through Corsair somehow? Or should I scour ebay for some equivalent?

    Regards
    Jonny

    hey Jonny,
I am sure that our friends over at customer service will have no problem sending you some spare ones if they have them (I think its part of a kit). Raise a ticket and ask if they can get you those rubber sounds dampers. You can create the ticket at Corsair.force.com

That's brilliant. I'll try and get in touch with them today. Fingers crossed I can get some. Now all I need to decide is whether or not to get a 105 or 110

Great! If you run into any issues with the request, let me know right away.

Now between the coolers, I am sure that you already know that either will fit the case. Performance wise, I think it's general knowledge that radiator with larger surface will always take the upper hand. In this case, that is the H110, but not that much - I'd say between 2°C-4°C in general.

I was leaning that way but need to check out some more reviews again as I had put the purchase on the back burner. I'm sure either will look great in the case.

Re: 750D top fan mounts rubber grommets

Hi there Greybeard. I've gone to the support portal but unless I'm doing something wrong, once I go to Tickets -> Create new ticket, it puts me back to the support homepage. Strange. I'm guessing this is not expected behaviour?

Regarding the cooler, I really want to go for the 110i GT but need to find out a bit more about the pump noise as I've heard varying reports. And another thing, superficial as it is, the fact that I cant get SP140s in the old style is making me lean towards a 240mm AIO, though it seems a waste of the space at the top of the 750D.... If only you still did them that way

Re: 750D top fan mounts rubber grommets

That's odd indeed. Were you able to get a ticket # at least?

I wouldn't worry about pump noise with that cooler, if anything, stock fans would be of a much concern, because I have seen few complaints about them, not so much with the pump being loud. Yeah, I agree with the SP140s with rings not being available, it'd be nice to have them as an alternative for the stock fans.

Re: 750D top fan mounts rubber grommets

I just looked and am having the same result.
However, from the homepage there is the Ask A Question down the bottom, which looks to raise a new ticket. Haven't actually tried submitting anything as I've no genuine issue to raise, but give that a go...

If that fails, then I believe I have some of these grommets spare that I could send you.

Hey Ttaskmaster - yes I think I came to the same conclusion after having a look again. Me being stupid I guess. Will try to submit a ticket today and see what happens. If nothing comes of it then I would appreciate it if you have some spare. Lets see if I can get some officially. I'm sure Corsair will come through

Re: 750D top fan mounts rubber grommets

Hey Greybeard, just a quick update. Got a response on my ticket which states:

"Created By: Justin G. (5/21/2015 7:45 AM) We regret to inform you that the stock 750D fan rubber grommets are not available for purchase. However, third-party grommets are available for purchase from your local or online electronic retails store"

So looks like they are unable to let me have any Any thoughts to add?

Its not the end of the world really - thanks for all the help
    JP

Ah I see, no worries, I'm sure that there are some spare ones there that we can send to you, we'll just have to ship it manually. How many do you need?

750D top fan mounts rubber grommets

Crikey I feel a right pikey now. Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth though... I'd need two to be able to fit a 240/280 cooler but if there are enough would love 4 so that if your chaps ever bring out a 360/420 hydro cooler then I'd be able to fit it!!!

Will send my address separately. If you can't find any no problems. Appreciate the service received anyway
