Corsair 750D Power and HDD activity LEDS

    Hi Guys,

I've had my 750D for about a year now and its been great.

The only issue i have been having is that the LEDS for Power and HDD activity have gotten very dim of late, not to the point where i cant see them but no where near as bright as when i first got the case.

Now i know this isn't a massive problem but i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Do you think it worth me trying to replaces the LEDs?

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Cal

    hey Cal,
Sorry to hear that. That LED is probably on its way out. It's possible to replace it, but it's a bit of hassle. How about we get that front I/O panel replaced via RMA? Go ahead and create a ticket @ Corsair.force.com and describe what the issue is. Once a ticket # is assigned to you, post it here and I'll make sure that your request is handled accordingly.

Yeah, it'd take a little bit of precision soldering to replace those.
I'm planning on changing my 500R ones, but only because I want them green instead of white!

Ah right, seeing as my RMA has been approved I might give it a go knowing that I have a spare just in case I'm not very precise with my soldering

I hadn't even considered changing the colour, any idea what spec the LEDS are?

No idea. Little 3mm ones, from what I recall.

RMA = Return Merchandise Authorisation... So would you not have to return the broken one, then?

Well I got a comment on my RMA ticket telling me that I didn't need to return it, maybe because its just the I/O and not the whole case.

Not for this kind of part. It'll definitely cost us more money to send the OP a pre-paid label to send I/O panel back to us. We'll just send him the replacement.

If you would like me to send it back to you I don't mind paying for the postage.

There's no need, it'll just get scrapped when it gets here. But I do appreciate the offer though, very nice of you

This particular issue is very rare, though they do pop up from time to time but nothing that a 750D owner should be worried about. Replacing the front I/O panel should fix the issue.
