    Am I misreading the below?

Whatever the case, the 9800 GX2 is due to be released imminently and, on paper, should usurp the Radeon HD 3870 X2 as the speediest single-PCB graphics card money can buy.
That's the only reason I asked.

    wow, looks nice.. very chunky!!
is it just SLI'd together? if so.. will it provide 200% performance or will it be game dependant on how much it gains?

it is ment to perform 1.3x better then a single 8800GTX, i believe the report hasnt changed.

Shows how slow nvidia really are doesnt it? ati had their 3870X2 for awhile now and nvidia just released this.

    wait for 9800's or get 8800 gt's ?

Bit of a sod to watercool with two pcbs I'm guessing. I'll wait for a proper single card solution before my next jump.

I must admit, i've never really been convinced by SLI/Crossfire as a solution.

TechConnect Magazine - Innovatek has GeForce 9800 GX2 waterblock

goodness knows how your supposed to evenly spread thermal compound with both cards on either side, but thats another matter altogether! im just waiting for a copper waterblock that does the same thing, then the 9800gx2 is mine....

Then you'll have to MAKE it fun.

It's easy. Turn the lights off, get tanked up on JD, and set a strobe going in the corner. It'd be like a competition, or something.
