    Hi Gunbuster,

    Glad to hear you like the forum style

    With regards to your question, the AA cells are rated at 2000 mAH and the AAA at 800 mAH.
    The C and D cell adapters use a single AA battery, hence these are also rated at 2000 mAH

    They could have got more capacity out of the cell but it's a trade-off against the self-discharge rate. Hence more capacity equals faster self-discharge.

    C and D cells are currently available in capacities up to 3500 and 5500 mAH respectively, so in high-drain applications with devices that use these type of batteries expect substantially shorter run-times.
