Re: Would you recommend dust filters?

I have filters on my chassis and I give them a clean every now and then to make sure they don't restrict any airflow. The amount of rubbish they stop going into my machine is insane. I must have a dusty room.

But if you make sure you clean the dust from them often then it shouldn't make too much difference to airflow.

Re: Would you recommend dust filters?

I have a Silverstone Sugo 5 case with a 120mm fan in the front with filter.
I opened the case for the 1st time in 3months the filter was caked with dust but the insides were dust free. thats a yes from me then

Planning a new build next month and this is something I'd never have thought about.

    Good to know!

Decent filters and blow the pc out regularly. It's amazing how much crap finds it's way inside your rig. They're dust magnets. Also large slow fans to keep airflow volume high but whirl slower and reduce intake pressure. Silverstone RAVEN RV02W-EW is a great example of large fans/good filtering done well.

Re: Would you recommend dust filters?

I have almost no use for dust filters these days after moving my pc on top of my desk rather than having it on the floor, and you know, cleaning every once in a while. But back when I liked to mod a bit, I used tights I purchased from Tesco, stretched over a fan and tied with elastic to keep it on.

Turns out these days there are more aesthetically pleasing ways to do it, with similar results most likely.

Computer dust filters - low air resistance

I recommend to use the DEMCIflex filters or the DustEND filters. These dust filters have the low air resistance.
