Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
Nice, looks even better than I imagined!
So, are you setting it up to suck in cold air from the back/top or from the front?
I would consider replacing the stock fans, changed mine out for 2 noctua nf p12's and they are quieter at full belt compared to the stock fans which were at 900 rpm and still provided way to much noise.
I went with the 450D and swapped out the std fans for some red led ones.
It looks fantastic and is sooooo quiet, but still knocked a few deg C off my old Antec 902 temps.
Very happy.
If you want a solid case, then corsair are always good, but the r4 is another brilliant little case and will serve you well. It is quiet and looks fantastic. If it were me i would get the r4 depending on if you can get it at the right price
I went with the R4 personally, supposedly easy to build with, large and very quiet.
Thanks to everyone who has put input into this thread I am trying to make the same decision myself living in an Old house that's rather dusty. I am swinging more towards the 450D however I could get Filters for a top mounted AIO.
Phage's design is pretty good, cool from the mid/bottom where cold air accumulates and dispose of the lighter hot air from the toppis area.
People like putting their rads up top which is not a bad idea given that hot air will naturally rise, however there lies the problem, dust. Because it is expelling hot you cannot put a dust filter on the top otherwise you will choke and impede the airflow and hence the CPU temperature.
Since dust will be settling not just in your rads but also into your other components I personally don't put RADS up top, either outside on the back or bottom with exhaust on the back.

just to add my tuppence, I have the r3 and its a great case (before i dropped it and buckled the corner and lost a foot rubber stopper bung thing (what are they called anyway?)). Easiest build ever as far as the case goes, great cable management. R4 looks like more of the same (dont drop it)
