Fitting an mATX mobo in an ATX case?

    Howdy folks,

Is there any downside to fitting an mATX motherboard in a ATX case besides size or compatibility issues? I plan on getting a new case when I move to England and was surprised to find that something like the Corsair 350D is the same price as a bigger Corsair C70 which is only a little cheaper than the Fractal Design R4. Is there any reason to choose the smaller case over the larger ones?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

No downsides. My past two motherboards have been MATX and have been installed in ATX cases. The main reason to choose the smaller case is because it's smaller...

That's what I thought. The mobo is a MSI Z87m gaming edition, which is a pretty nifty device. Out of curiosity, what ATX cases did you choose for your two builds?

Nothing recent! I think my main PC is in a Coolermaster case. It's been a while since I made it up.

No problem. Now to think of such a mod...

Maybe I'll just add a bunch of cables that aren't connected to anything.
