    Re: Watercooling flow sensor

Connect sensor in-line with the tube (towards the CPU water block and before it) for checking the circulation of the coolant...
Reserator 1 (and V2) comes with flow indicator, Reserator 3 has no flow indicator (sold separately)

thanks but i am looking more for makes and models of suitable sensors which can be adapted to 8mm id tubing, i have flow indicators but they are no good after initial setup so am looking to replace them with sensors that will either alarm or shutdown system on failure.

try koolance, i use the flow sensors on a tms setup they make and sell. it has an atx power off if all else fails (such as software shutdown failing) you fit your own barbs.

    Re: Watercooling flow sensor

You can use any flow sensor with G1/4" threads and appropriate compression or barbed fittings.
    For example:
    http://koolance.com/ins-fm17n-coolant-flow-meter - Koolance flow meter
    http://www.performance-pcs.com/phoby...ck-nickel.html - Phobya ID8mm/OD10mm compression fitting
    http://www.bitspower.com.tw/index.ph...&cPath=6_27_73 - Bitspower ID8mm/OD10mm compression fitting
    http://www.bitspower.com.tw/index.ph...&cPath=6_27_74 - Bitspower ID8mm/OD11mm compression fitting
    OR
    Flow meters with barbed connections
http://www.alphacool.com/product_inf...black-PMP.html - Alphacool analog flow meter for ID 6-11mm tubing

I think that the best solution is flow meter with G1/4" threads and compression fittings

    For controlling/alarming:
    http://www.alphacool.com/product_inf...master-II.html - Alphacool Heatmaster II
http://koolance.com/tms-205-software...ace-controller - Koolance thermal interface controller
    http://koolance.com/sen-lk001-water-leak-detector - Koolance leak detector

cheers for that, have contacted koolance to see if any of their items are suitable, not really interested in flow measuring etc just ability to link to fan heeder so if pump fails and no flow bios will kill system before head over heats.

    Re: Watercooling flow sensor

the fm17 has a dongle to convert to RPM for a fan header so it should be fine. http://koolance.com/adt-fm03-flow-me...quency-adapter
