    Wink My shuttle build

    Hey guys an gals.

i spent the last 6 months on and off working on this little conversion. a bit long but due to goin to learn how to weld not a lot o time.
this build is just all old parts i had laying arround my den, all i payed for was the Mobo 40 of ebay.
i thought i would make this post as i spent a lot of time here in the start looking at other peoples builds with shuttle case.
i am not quite there yet need to buy paint and bits to finish it all up but i am happy wehere it is atm. so here is the first custom casr i have built in 10 years and with out a workshop to build in ........

This is th epicture of the computer currently installing windows 10.
It still has a fair bit of finishing to go yet but to me it is all finishing.

Here is how it started life.

with the end missing due to major damage from the perosn that gave it me, next to it the 5mm sheet of aluminium for the new back panel (high density industrial. 21 dremel disks to cut it out) and then it went from there.

have to go get the son now will post the rest when i get home again, be as honest as you like just please keep the flames to a min back soon peeps

    Re: My shuttle build

okay on to the rest of the post but first sorry to the admin for the bad language. my bad.

the computer is running with ,
    Intel core I5 750@2.67GHz
    GeForce GTX560ti
    4gb corsair hyperX blu
    and a 2tb hdd
The mobo is a cheap Intel DH57JG board
i plan on adding 8gb to the build when i upgrade my PC but that will have to wait as it stands it will play most games i play so i can cart it arround to lan events and things like that where having a more mobile rig would be better.

The alu plate i used at the back as a replacment as i said is 5mm thick industrial stuff i got off a mate the plate took a whole day to cut out with a dremel and cutting disks.
then i took it to school and welded the case 5mm to a 0.5mm case it was fun nearly melted the whole thing ;D.

    test fiting before the weld.

when i got the mobo i had to check all the hardware was working for the build i used an old fractel 700w psu semi modular one

tested with an old gfx card not wanting to kill the msi frozr 2, i spent a lot of time at my soldering station doing wires to shorten them however after looking at the atx cable i did not have enough patiance left to do that one lol.
after it was all dont i set abotu test fitting and painting then when it was finished i assembled it all and put it all together with the little 60mm exhaust fan when it get hot it gets realy noisy not a silent build shame but i may get a new fan iff i can when i finish school.

while i was building it i dubbed the build dark wolf due to the custom fan cover i had made was somthing to call it while i was working atm i need to finish the side plate to cover the bottem of the msi card and the end of it, then i have to buy some paint and stencil paper as i plan on filling the shuttle imboss on the case and painting a wolf ont he side of the case

i would be intrested in hearing your thoughts what i could have done better or what you would have done ect...

here is a gallery of the build.
