    memory upgrade - help

    My computer has this:
    Award Software, Inc. ASUS A7V-133 ACPI BIOS Revision 1009
    AMD Athlon(tm) Processor

    and 128Mb PC133 memory

    I'd like to know how much more memory I can add, not sure how you know what the limit is? I have a 256Mb PC133, can I add to the 128Mb or do they all have to be the same speed, I have 2 free slot does it matter which order they go in ? probably stupid question but I'm a beginner

    let me know

    It would seem that both modules are the same speed (133).

    Take a look in the motherboard manual, it may give you a clue. Failing that, just try it, it won't do any harm. If there's a problem, it won't boot. I'm guessing you'll probably be OK. If it doesn't work in one slot, try it in the other. If it doesn't work in either, bad news but nothing ventured, nothing gained, as me granny used to say.
