What do you do when there are no decent computer supply stores in your area?

You improvise....and use stuff from Auto Parts stores.

The sleeving (except for the cables going to the motherboard, which I'm going to sleeve once that stupid ATX pin extractor comes in, along with my PET sleeving) was all done with spark plug covering. It was actually good stuff, the fabric is pretty good quality, and it came with it's own heatshrink.

I then decided, because I was bored, to paint the molex connectors and the heatsinc fan, so I used....Duplicolor automotive spray paint in "Toytoa Silver". The cathode and fans were all there before I started my little makeover.

Is a box of tissues standard on modders desks?

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

To be honest there are three things that are very imbarassing on that pic! And they are all related to each other! See If you can figure it out! The box is one of them....

Um...The tissues, the bag of Krispy Kreme donuts, and the somewhat phallic shaped lava lamp?

Why can't we just attach images to these posts? I know space is limited, but I've only got one.
