I don't think so. The stock case comes with a 120mm fan front and back. I moved them to the top and replaced one of them with a 113CFM Delta PWM. I haven't done any serious testing because I'm replacing the C2D with an i7 next week. Just for the fun of it I disconnected the Delta and have been playing Far Cry 2 and COD4 without any cooling issues at all.

    Thank you for your comment.

Are you kidding? Deltas make extremely noisy sound quiet. They're not cooling fans, they're propulsion systems for NASA jets.

They are very good for multi-purpose systems though - computer and a vacuum cleaner

Ok I can see hwo that would get annoying however have you considered a drive with a silver/chrome/brushed metal front?
It would still look like a dvd drive but it would look less out of place.

Oh and what's that case you used?

    And what motherboard is that?

Are the top fans pushing air in? or sucking air out?

I think that might look pritty cool with the case interia painted black and then purspex panels.
