    Really Stupid question...

Okay I'm embarassed to post this but here goes. I've never had to mount a fan in case with screws before as i've only had a chieftec case in the past with those lovely clips. However I've just got a new case and the fans have to be screwed in and I don't appear to have the correct screws in the little bag of bits that came with the case (i.e. they are all too small to thread into the fan). I'm probably being really stupid but do I need to buy some other screws to mount these fans as I can see no way to do it with the screws I have?

    Cheers,

    Pickers

    lol

    They should look like these...........

If you havn't got any, then they are easy enough to get and cost very little, Maplin Electronics or any other decent pc type place should do em.

There normaly quite a tight fit so not sure what screws they gave you.

    Hope that helps

I thought I wasn't going mad! No sign of any of those chubby screws in my bag of bits, oh well looks like it's a trip to Maplin tomorrow!

    Thanks,

Pickers can i reccomend getting small bolts instead? Much better than those chubby little screws in my opinion....

When OCS was in business they sold a set of bolts for like 75p and they were absolutley great....

    Just a suggestion

if you do get those screaws most fans need to be threaded, so don't worry about putting some force into it - unless they are way to big of course

if you should use bolts be sure to get split washers tp prevent bolts from vibrating loose!!
