I wrongly assumed that it would be possible to convert DVI-D to displayport.... | Some top spec Dell monitors come with DVI, HDMI and Display Port. So if you're willing to splash out I'd highly recommend one of those Dell monitors now. You wont be disappointed. Even my Wii gets a slice of the pie ![]() DELL ULTRASHARP 2408WFP |

Sometimes you just gotta roll with it. At least GPU AIBs can bundle a DisplayPort->DVI dongle to tide their customers over until DisplayPort monitors show up.

| Re: Headlines - HIS adds DisplayPort connector on low-end Radeon cards I wouldn't hold off getting a monitor for Display Port, Display Port is backward compatible so if you upgrade your graphics card you can still run a DVI monitor, probably through a dongle, it's also listed as being backward compatible with VGA aswell. |
