It has obviously upset you but if you don't like the hype ignore it. Sure I got Halo 3 coming today (I pre-order most games from Amazon, why bother to drive!?) but I haven't read a review because I only read previews and then make my mind up whether I will like it. Thats why I got Overlord, it looked funny, demo was good and I have enjoyed it very much. I'm not saying I am perfect, its just the way I do it.

Hype is just marketing and almost every media outlet is in somebodies pocket whether by choice or by preference.
What are you talking about, you strange little man?

Have another go and explain yourself, or shush.

    I for one won't.

On principle. I hated Halo 1 with such a vengeance that I am the opposite of the fan boys. Even if it IS bloody superb I shall continue to slag it off, with absolutely no fact to my arguments, based on a game I hated many years ago.

I shall think of Halo like I think of the dog pooh on my shoe last week....I wish it had never occured

    Re: Halo 3 review

This is true. If someone on the HEXUS staff has to hear my case, I choose Zak.

    He knows the score.

And his baby son is clearly destined for great things. May he live a long and happy life.

    (That enough?)

Appologies for the rudeness. I was just wondering what the 'extreme end' was, and how I was, erm, on it, at it, whatever.

The extreme end of... TALKING ABOUT VIDEO GAMES?!!1?!1

    Re: Halo 3 review

This is a bit silly, yes halo is over-hyped but for a gaming series it delivers every single time. Majority vote also says the series of halo games are great. I must admit halo has won me over in terms of a fps. only one that i would say beats it is Unreal series and that's just the "gameplay" department

    Halo 3 is just brilliant

*Graphics not gears of war pretty. but when you see the amount of characters on screen you'll understand why!#

Gameplay more and more with improvements

For me the game has delivered all it had to do is better halo 2 which was a hard task for bungie and for me they have archived this. so i think it deserves it's 9+ rating it's been receiving, for bungie to keep delivering the series like this is amazing.

Yeah, no other company has ever had a series of games which were all good.

Certainly not Nintendo with Mario or Zelda, thats for sure.

No, I'll stop now. I'm only here because my ciggie cravings are bothering me.

    Maybe one more dig?

Did i say no other company has not managed to do it? I think you've taken your hate for halo's fanboyism to whole next level.

Have you ever played the halo series?

I think you need to sit down and play halo 1 -3 to cheer your self up

    Re: Halo 3 review

8 people, 2 xboxes, 2 copies of halo2, 2 tellies,1 network cable... all very doable, but you will see nothing as good for people with even a slight taste for fps's. its goldeneye reincarnate.

its never going to be counterstrinke or UT2004 or Q3A, but its not trying to be. it doesn't involve getting a room or two full of comps together at the same time. and i can only speak from personal experience, but i know SO MANY more people that are going to be playing it as fanatically as i am than could ever be with a PC game. All I've really said in this thread is Halo3 isn't perfect, it can not be perfect, anyone who says it is perfect is a hype monkey, and... well, thats it.

Apparently even this claim is too much.

I've played Halo on the PC, which was a terrible port. Played a bit of Halo2, mostly watching my cousin play multiplayer... its ok, nothing special.

And its not Halo I hate, nor even fanboys... almost everyone on these forums calls each other a fanboy. I never do. I just can't be doing with hype, and for some reason Halo has almost cornered the world market in undeserved hype.

A game is good, average or bad. And no matter how many 'pumped' American 15 year olds shouting 'dude Halo rocks' you put on the TV, this does not change.
