Zelda titles are a must have on the DS, so the Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are what you're looking for. Mario Kart DS is also a lot of fun, as well as Super Mario 64 and GTA: Chinatown is very good as well. Pokemon games tend to have a lot of replayability, so you should pick up some of those titles (Diamond, Pearl, White, Black).

Mario Kart and the Zelda games. To be honest, there aren't that many good games for the DS.

If you like quirky different games try Flower, Sun and Rain.

The 3 Castlevania games were great, only annoyance being the one where you had to draw glyphs on screen

    All the Professor Layton games

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is great also, didn't really like Spirit Tracks

If you find yourself enjoying the Phoenix Wright games, I would check out 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors. It's a VN that keeps you guessing, and has a bunch of great puzzles.
