Hands up who's bored with Wii?

I'm bored with it. I know it's only recently launched and I can't wait to play some of the great games in the future, but at the moment I've not really used it apart from having a laugh with family and friends occasionally on Rayman and Wii Sports. As a solo experience it's difficult when the Xbox 360 is sitting next me to get excited about playing any of the games and I must say, I'm really starting to enjoy playing the PC and can't wait to see some of the great games this year.

I still think Wii is great, but in heinsight, I did buy it on impulse (of course it helps with the job).
I suppose the great thing about it is that is was pretty cheap to take a gamble on and I'm sure there will be something worth playing soon.

Bring on Trauma Centre! What has happened to that game, I thought it was supposed to be out ages ago?

I remember how excited I was when I first played Wii at a preview day, but the excitement dwindled rapidly within a week of buying it. Early days though!

Not really because I am working my way through Zelda:Twilight Princess. Even thought its my first Zelda I am loving it and would heartily recommend it as even I can do the puzzles.

There is a drought of games at the moment but later on in Feb its going to get better with SSX: Blur amognst others. I can see what you mean though if I wasn't playign Zelda it would not be much fun single player!

Dunno, its out everywhere else but Europe!

I have to say - I got bored of mine hence selling it.

I think its a great "toy" for when friends are over or socialising with - but until it has more games I think more people will feel this way.

I wish they would have released more games on the Wii Channel Store so I could buy them when I had mine.

Do I miss it? Nope - I got rid of my PS3 too - I have just a 360 and my PC.

I don't play that many games - but when I do the 360 is enough for me

I'm suprised with how many people on here are selling theres, it seems remarkebly short sighted to me from people who are on a tech site. Its a new product so you've got to stick with it. Its like Channel 5 really, it was rubbish to start with but slowly and surely they are pulling back, one example is Prison Break. And nobody expected instant results from the iTunes service and Xbox Live but you stick with it and functionality grows.

I am also suprised at how many people are awaiting the now legendary/mythical price drop. Some people were predicting this as early as March, which is a bit silly.

Go on then, £20 if you throw in delivery...

Seriously though - I'd love to be able to sympathise however I've not been able to get my hands on one due to certain people buying all stock as soon as it's available for resale on eBay etc, which hikes the price above what I'm prepared to pay. At least by the time I get one there will be plenty of games available!

Have to agree with GeorgeTuk, its a bit of a waiting game. Of the the offical release games I only have Zelda, Wii Sports and Wii Play. Although I'm still on Zelda, I gather I'm near the end and hence every time that I pass a games shop, I have a look and think I will buy something, but there is nothing that I really want - And I'm excluding 'party' type games like Wario.

It did cross my mind about if it was worth it - and if I'm allowed to get bored of it as it was a christmas present from my girlfriend!! - but after looking at some preview videos, I do think that more softcos are going to be releasing decent games - and i mean single player games which provide a rich experience with the controller.

I'm already waiting for Metroid Prime 3, SSX and also Mortal Kombat. Maybe companies wanted to see how the console fared market-share wise before devoting time and resources to development. So although i agree that there isnt exactly anything to get excited about today, in a month or two, i believe that there will be some interesting releases.

Finally, it finally dawned on me that i can also play gamecube games too - I skipped that system, so I'm currently delving around reviews looking for games to try out . Resident evil 4 is going to be my first purchase if i can get it dirt cheap, and a mate at work is going to lend me Metroid Prime and a controller, so that should keep me occupied.

Bottom line, as with most things, give them a bit of time and it'll usually come good in the end

Firstly - I am NOT a gamer - as I am sure both Steven and NIck will validate.

Thing is - I've always got these things when they first come out and they have sat idle.

This time I have decided to be different - I can get another in the future if I want.

Basically - I have loads of gadgets kicking around which I simply don't use - I prefer to get away from it all sometimes

The Wii and Mii have gotten to that stage in our relationship where we can only bother to be together when we have friends round.

Other than that, the Wii knows i'm dreaming about supreme commander. Or thinking of some gears of war.

But when company is around, its all about Wii. The great thing about it is you don't mind it meeting your parents.

My love life is just plain sad right now.

I cant comment on that, but it is a distinctly mediocre single player experience (with th exception of zelda) I am feeling the super mario world love though, that game is awesome.

I think the Wii isn't too be played by yourself, and online multiplayer features too limited.

I think that is definitely true, if only for now - but is it me or does it seem like we have been waiting an ETERNITY for some more decent single player games?

Until then - And I say that hoping that time WILL arrive - I am introducing myself to some Gamecube games. They are definitely more suited for single player and I have just purchased Resident Evil 4 and have a dirt cheap copy of SSX3. They are just 'different' to Wii games and a good stop gap for those, like me, who skipped that generation of console.

Couple that with cheap GCN prices and there should be plenty to occupy me until the better Wii single player games come onto the scene

Yep just borrowed MarioKart: Double DAsh and Luigis Haunted Mansion from girlf's brother. Metroid Prime next.

I think first decent single player is goign to be Sonic which is early March I think.
