    Transfer From Film to DVD/Video

Just saw this on the BBFC site:

When a film is transferred to video the running time will be shorter by approximately 4% due to the differing number of frames per second. This does not mean that the video version has been cut or re-edited.
Does this mean that the film runs faster than in the cinema, or that frames are dropped?

Any how many of you have noticed that the music on your PAL DVD's is faster and higher pitched than your soundtrack CD?

OK sorry for another post , but how are films actually made? I know they are recorded onto film, then edited on a computer (how are they transferred from film to computer?), and transferred back onto film. Are the DVD's made from the film reel, or from the Digital Video on the computer?

    Thanks

Well I know how films or made if they are shot on Digital Video because I have done a couple. But you probably know that Digital Video is just easy as pie to put onto computers.

I dont know how films are made with film though.
