    Re: samsung 46d8000 or 46es8000

Can I ask good for what? Whats the primary use of the TV - sd or hd television, bluray, dvd, gaming?

What are the space limitations, does it have to be 46"? You can get a hell of a lot of plasma for the cost of a d8000 led...

    Re: samsung 46d8000 or 46es8000

I have the 46d8000, its utterly superb

However, if the e8000 has the same upgrade facility as the 55 inch, ie a little segment in the back for plugging in next years upgrade circuit board addition thingy, then it could be better value

iirc the 46d8000 is down to around 1200quid now

edit: 3d sposed to be clearer on the e series

Violence and Lubrication is the solution to fixing everything, if it still doesn't work, you need more lubrication.
