Still no Nook in the UK

I've been holding out for the Glowlight Nook to come over the UK as it looks like a great reader, but it appears that the Kindle is the only real competitor in the UK. Barnes and Noble kept making moves towards the UK, but never delivered. Is there any hope of seeing Nooks in the UK anytime soon?

Re: Still no Nook in the UK

I'm pretty sure that all four retailers will be selling at the same price and that price will be the recommended list price B&N want it to be sold at.

Re: Still no Nook in the UK

Well that's re-assuring news, although it will mean they will then have an excuse not to have sales or discounts either. But with any luck it'll start to spread in the market.

THe UK eReader market could use some actual competition. Something to kick Sony and Amazon out of their chairs

Re: Still no Nook in the UK

When are they going to sell them? It bloody sucks how we have to wait - not sure whether I'll try and import a Kindle paperwhite or wait for the Nook etc. Thoughts?

Re: Still no Nook in the UK

Well I finally bit the bullet and reserved one at the local Argos, will go pick it up in the next day or so. Argos are doing a £10 voucher for orders over £100 so that cinches the deal.

Anyone actually care how I fare with it?

Re: Still no Nook in the UK

Is it the done thing around these parts (with folks in the know) to route them with Android etc? Think I'll need from now until it's delivered to read up on it...
