Having problems with choosing a new iphone

Ive saved a lot of money and i want to buy a new iphone, but idk what to choose.

Ive been getting mixed reviews with the iphone 5c and the reg iphone 5

I like the design of the iphone 5 better than the iphone 5c, but is the 5c a better product/investment?

Id love to hear your opinions! im an idiot when it comes to these things!

    Do i choose this: http://showcase-it.com/uk/item/72467...99348254853890

    or this:

    http://www.apple.com/iphone-5c/

Re: Having problems with choosing a new iphone

Not many ifans on this forum by the way.

I would hold off on buying the 5C, a couple of news sites stated that mobile providers have only a handful of the 5S, but they have bucket loads of the 5C that no one really wants, probably a good reason for that.

Resale of a standard 5 as compared to 5C is probably going to be easier, who wants to advertise they have the cheaper version of the iphone with some aweful plastic cover?

On the plus side, when the cover breaks, the 5c's is probably going to be cheaper and easier to replace

5S, great camera. Sell your current compact camera to put towards cost.

I wouldn't touch an apple with your cash.

I would get a android device as they have more versatility and very customisable.

Depending on your needs, some have good cameras and large screen sizes. there is far more choice of devices for android, and also more suiting to your budget.

Yep, the same kind of unnecessary overwhelming mediocre choice that makes PC Laptop buying such a drag and a gamble.

Keep it simple, get the iPhone, get on with your life.

Re: Having problems with choosing a new iphone

Apart from the different design, 5C has about 5% better battery life and also has worldwide frequency band support I believe, those are the only differences. I would go for the iPhone 5S or try and get the iPhone 5 cheap off eBay

Re: Having problems with choosing a new iphone

Don't know if you have chosen yet. I have a 5S and its a lovely phone. I saw the 5C colours in the flesh when they came out and the only ones which looked nice were the blue and white. The others were far to ... vibrantly awful. Still it may float someones boat. The 5C is basically a 5 in a candy shell. The 5S will probably give you a good few years at least before you would have to upgrade or it feels slow.

Re: Having problems with choosing a new iphone

I think 5C is practically identical to 5, just Apple don't want people confused so suspend the 5 lines.
if you don't really need awesome camera function. so just go for 5 from ebay or whatever local auction sites.

    Same phone.
Buy a secondhand 5 off a fanboy who upgraded to the 5S.
I picked one up still under warranty for £300.

So the OP didn't return, after posting this 9 months ago - guess the thread has run its course as the differences have been explained.
