The lady I spoke to one the phone said a lot of Hudl's had problems with the power connectors but as said could just be kids and the way they use them or just the design in general

I got another update the other day! Didn't increment the Android version though, so I guess it was some Tesco software tweaks. As I use Google Now launcher, probably immaterial to me...

Re: yet another Hudl 2 breaks on me.

I'm trying to get a list of anyone who has had a problem with a HUDL or HUDL 2 screen cracking by itself.
I would appreciate it a lot if anyone with this problem could they visit my blog at and comment on the post, I'm trying to get together a list of how many people have this problem as Tesco seem to be indicating no one has a problem.
I can't post a url as I'm a newbie but if you do a search on google for "HUDL 2 cracked blog ellams" I'm at the top, The blog is called my hydroponic blog.

I know quite a few people have the same problem but posts are scattered on various blogs and forums. I also know at least one forum with 40 or so comments about it has disappeared for some odd reason
    Thanks so much.

wouldn't touch these, i know so many people who bought them at xmas for children or just a cheap tablet to use at work, or in bed or whatever, i think only a few still have them, everyone else got rid because of things failing on them, dealing with tesco to get repaired or new ones.

Really? I found Tesco very easy to deal with, in fact very next day they delivered a brand new one and exchanged it with the one I had.

I had issues with them as well. Not quite the same problems, but for some reason it wouldn't fully charge. The replacement had the same issue, so I just got a refund and didn't bother with a third after that.

They have to cut corners somewhere unfortunately and I guess it is build quality. All that said if you pay less than 100£ for a tablet of those specs you shouldn't expect it to last more than a couple of years at best.
