Clone via coax cable

Here it goes:

A friend of my has his house done back in the 1990's. Including building in all his TV (some of his TV is quite old now. But the existing TVs use a coax cable network to have content cloned across the whole network from a Sky box (via the coax out on the Sky box). One TV has the Sky box connected via the scart and then the rest of them receive the same signal via the coax (one coax goes in a box splitter, many coaxes come out).

If by any chance he would like to replace his Sky box (for example a Android box for streaming content and watch local files) via the SCART, is there a way to clone the signal via the existing coax cable network?

It is probably sending via RF....very very low quality. As far as I am aware, none of the streaming boxes will have that on them.....

Probably looking at Chromecasts (or clones) for each TV.

If your friend has a VCR lying around, he can use that in the place of the Skybox to send what ever inputs the VCR supports over the coax to the other TVs.

That's how I used to extend a non-Sky satellite box, or indeed anything that could output to SCART or composite to TVs across the house over coax cable.

There are also RF modulator boxes that do exactly what the VCR does without the cassette part of course for about £30.

But either way, picture quality will be exactly as we remember from the 90s.

There are also RF modulator boxes that take advantage of the DVB-T 'freeview' type signals, i.e. what we consider to be standard definition, but they aren't cheap.
