    Re: Soundbar or speakers?

I've sort of decided on replacing the telly with an OLED 55EF950V and a set of 3 Cambridge Audio Minx Min 22s and a Minx X201 sub (which will live on the bottom shelf of the A/V rack). We're having quite a bit of work done on the house over the next few months and I think we'll get a custom set of shelves built in that alcove once the rest of it's done.

I have to be VERY careful with this thread now. The Internet telling Mrs b0redom that she's right is a very dangerous thing!

Must say that I've never given wireless headphones a fair try. To be honest though, I've found the kind of audio bliss with my two main headphones, that I don't feel like I will find anything else coming close outside really expensive speakers. Even for gaming, I find it quite interesting how well headphones can do positioning despite being limited to two channels. On that end, I wonder how well the best soundbar fares..

I think any of them will work. You just have to choose the correct brand. Any recommendations?

I have a Sonos Playbar. It's rather pricey but oh my it does the job incredibly well. You don't even need a sub. But for surround sound you will need to purchase the wireless speakers separately.
