    Need a good Iron recommendation

So the wife dropped our Tefal iron the other day and now it's leaking water out of the base so we need a new one. Already taken it apart and it's cracked inside so no chance of an easy repair, also it wasn't a good iron to be honest.

Therefore looking for recommendations for a new iron that I can give to the wife on Valentines Day along with a new frying pan . Looking for a traditional type steam iron but not one of those steam generating ones with a huge water tank.

    Cheers

    Jim

The frying pan is so she can clock you over the head when you give her the icon as a romantic present?

I've used a Bosch Iron which is pretty good. http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/ca...ng/steam_irons I don't think the model I bought is still available iirc, I paid about £40.

I also use a Aldi own brand Ron with a separate tank for steam (an ironing station, or similar description) but they don't have them as stock items however their web site lists this

    https://www.aldi.co.uk/premium-steam...74949101779500

Which is a different design from the one I have, so I can't vouch for its efficiency.

I know you want this to be a romantic surprise, but it might be better to take her to somewhere like Currys or John Lewis choose! (And if you go to John Lewis, you can trapeat her to a romantic meal in their cafe!)

We've had a Bosch Steam Generator (I think they call them that) for about five years. No leaks, no dramas.

lol I must be the only bloke here to do the ironing ..I find it relaxing ..

I found my Philips Azur Performer Plus to be very good.

It irons, makes steam and glides well over clothing, not at lot else I can say about it.

Can I have your PC when you're pushing up the Dasies due to having an iron inserted?
