H50 mounting bracket for 1156 socket

Do you have an ETA for the above? Will it be included in the retail pack soon or will we have to request it via support?

I have an estimate of mid September at this point. When they are initially released they will likely be available in our store or via tech support before the retail units make it to the shelves.

Re: H50 mounting bracket for 1156 socket

I don't understand why so many companies havn't got mounting kits out for a socket that is meant is to mainstream. Its not as if Intel have sprung this on anyone.... bit of a farce really.

Re: H50 mounting bracket for 1156 socket

Yeah, i agree. I'm waiting on this one bracket so i can go and order the rest of my build. I really don't want to run the stock cooler in the mean time either. Only good thing is the more i wait the more the prices of the P55 gear seem to stabilise.

Got a H50 going to waste here, I mean seriously how hard is it to fab up a plastic bracket?!, and if you don't have an update can you get on the phone to Asetek or whoever and give them a bloody good *******ing

Re: H50 mounting bracket for 1156 socket

Anything? I'm also waiting for the mounting kit to get my build up and running. It's surprising really, I'd have thought Corsair would be on top of this.

I'm not one of those people who think that a single purchase will in any way affect a company of Corsair's size, but I haven't yet bought the RAM for my build, and it's looking more and more likely that when I do it won't be from Corsair. I'm actually thinking of getting a generic 1156 backplate and trying to mod one of the mounting brackets so it'll fit.

Keep an eye on the Corsair store on our site. The bracket should be available any day now.

These two posts on the Corsair main forums will cheer you up.

    First let me say this:
The Socket LGA1156 Bracket will be on the website for purchasing by 10/12

Now I know that's about 2 weeks from now, and it might be much, much sooner, but that's the earliest date I can give comfortably. We were supposed to have this ready for you guys in August but we identified a manufacturing defect and had to delay the bracket until late September/early October in order to fix it. I really wanted to have support ready for the Lynnfield launch, but we stumbled there and that's my fault.

So now the good news - there's a new revision of the H50 with a new part number. CWCH50-1 which you guys should be able to identify. The -1 means that the new package will now include not only LGA775 and LGA1366, but also the LGA1156 and AMD AM2 and AM3 brackets. The bracket design has changed a bit but it still works fine and the increased compatibility should make it an easier product to use.

For those who already own an H50 and want to get the LGA1156 bracket for it, like I said, we'll have it available by the 12th. Chances are it'll be up next week, but I won't guarantee anything until the 12th.

Again - I'm sorry this took so long, completely my fault. I'm glad to see you guys are excited about the product, though.
