H70 radiator/pump question

I am about to install the H70 onto a new mobo, and I was just wondering if there was a preferable way to mount the radiator. Not regarding the position in the case btw.
In my experience radiator cooling systems (auto) have the hot water coming in at the top, flowing down the cores and out at the bottom, pretty well always.
I would like to do this with the H70, but there doesn't seem to be any sort of indication as to the flow direction. I would assume it would be clockwise as you look down on the pump.
If it is designed to work in any position then that is fine, just thought I would ask the question

It really depends on what case and airflow your case has got .

Corsair recommends mounting the fan so it intakes cold air from the outside.

Personally i have mine as an outtake on my case.

You should just test which way works best for you.

In the end I mounted the rad with the pipes to the side, the hoses just fell nicely onto the CPU.
I didn't fancy stripping down the front of my case so I did as you did, with the fans sandwiching the rad and exhausting out.
Temps are a huge 23 - 28*C idling, not sure about gaming yet as I've not had chance

Nice , what Case and CPU you running ?

Im getting about 60C on my i7 930 when maxed out load , but i have changed the fan to a Silverstone AP121 though as i want the system to be quiet as possible.

I just "upgraded" to an i7 950 from a Q6600.

It's just in an Akasa Eclipse (I think) case, not the best case ever designed but it's roomy.

So far it seems to max out at around 50C when playing Battlefield Bad Company2, I don't go in for stress tests so that will do for me

Oh yeah, forgot to add that I haven't found it as noisy as I was led to believe in various reviews etc.
In fact it just gives out this kind of reassuring hum, even with the 2 Corsair fans.
