Low Profile (12 or 15mm Fan) with Corsair H60?

You folks at Corsair are doing great stuff and my ever growing kit consists more and more of Corsair products from cases, SSD, Coolers, RAM to 3 PSU's, yes 3 top quality Modular ones!

Now the new Corsair H60 I've purchased is great but I'm having a little difficulty in installing it into my HTPC case to cool a Core i5 2500k!

The radiator plus the standard included fan is too deep for the kit and hits into the motherboard, I've had a look, I could get away with installing a 12 or 15mm depth fan, so could I use a low profile fan with it, if I did, would I run into problems installing the fan with the screws being so long?

Would it also have a detrimental effect on the performance of the cooler if do-able? Do you have low profile fans available?

    Thanks.

You can try a shorter fan if you like but you will need to use shorter screws or cut the ones you have. If your screws are too long, they will screw into the rad fins.

Performance will depend on the capabilities of whatever fans you chose.
