will 512 ram make 1gb dual channel much faster?

I have 2 corsair 512's (400) running in dual channel i was thinking of buying 2 256's as 512's are alittle out of my budget right now, will all 4 ram run in dual channel or is it not worth it? and will i get much diffrence in gaming out of adding them?

I would not suggest mixing memory in the configuration you are listing. Mixing different densities etc is not a good idea and especially on AMD platforms. If you need more memory for that system, I would suggest you either add 2 x 512mb of EXACTLY the same memory you already have, or hold off until you can get a 2 x 1gb kit.

    danroyle's system
as you are not really running a high end system although yellowbeard is right about mixing it would not do huge damage to your performance getting another 512mb set if you are short for money do it
