MSI Big Bang Xpower2 compatible quad channel kit required

    Hello there,

I'm going to build a new SB-E based system in the near future and I currently tend to lean towards the above motherboard. (I'm also looking at the asus rampage 4 extreme)

I would appreciate it if you could recommend a compatible 16gb quad channel 1600 memmory Kit from the vengeance LP series for this MSI mobo. I noticed that this model is not currently included in the corsair memory finder index.

I've spotted the following kits in Scan uk...Could you please tell me whether these would be ok?

    CML16GX3M4A1600C9 - 16GB (4x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance LP Jet Black

    CML16GX3M4X1600C8 - 16GB (4x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance LP Jet Black

I wasnt to use a noctua NH-D14 2011 edition...hence the LP memory requirement

    Many thanks!

Essentially, any 4 module 1.5v or 1.35v kit is suitable for X79/SB-E. The 2 kits you listed are fine. Here's a blog post that may help and a web page.
