    Unstable Memory?

    Hi all,
I recently upgraded my RAM, I bought 2 x 2GB sticks of Corsair XMS3 1600mhz RAM and have a small question.
I'm not pointing any fingers at Corsair here, just asking for some advice
My mobo is an MSI 870-C45, it's quite a cheap AM3 one, and I'm thinking that this is more likely to be the problem..

Basically I'm led to believe my RAM is unstable @ 1600mhz due to CTD's in demanding games (esp. BC2) which don't occur when I clock it down to 1333mhz.
My mobo does say that it supports 1600mhz RAM (OC), and the way I clocked it up to 1600mhz was by changing the ratio to 1:4...

Wondering what the problem is / if there's anything I've missed?

Sorry if I've left out any details about the problem, and thanks for reading

    Edit: Full rig info:

    Re: Unstable Memory?

It's not the MOBO that is likely the issue here. Not all 9** AMD CPUs have memory controllers that will operate at 1600. If your BIOS allows it, a small 1-3 step increase in memory controller voltage may help.
