    RMA Issue

@Greybeard: After finally discovering the root of my stability issues was down to RAM I raised an RMA with Corsair and sent back my RAM, this was received on Friday but the ticket has not been updated to show it has been delivered.

Today I got an update to my ticket to say:

    Thank you for choosing Corsair.

We are unable to accept your return as the product(s) returned to Corsair is not valid under the Corsair Warranty Policy. http://www.corsair.com/en-us/support/warranty.

Reason for Refusal: RAM has been damaged beyond our warranty coverage. Photos have been attached.
I sent back two sticks of Red RAM part number CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9R and the damaged stick(s) in the pictures that were posted on my ticket are Blue with part number CMZ5GX3M2A1600C9B. Is it possible you could look into this please?

    My ticket number is #######.

    Your help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Re: RMA Issue

That's awesome, thanks for your help with that. I don't quite understand what happened there and feel bad for whoever sent the Blue RAM in, I think I'll put it down to immature processes at the new RMA facility and hope that this will serve as a learning opportunity from which services and procedures can only get better.

    Re: RMA Issue

You're probably right, that might have contributed and caused all the mix ups.

Anyway, if you don't get an update from then in a day or two, let me know.

    Re: RMA Issue

Just thought I'd let you know, I got this update today:

Created By: Alexander CS (7/8/2015 8:34 AM)
    Hello KeyboardDemon,

That is very strange that the item we received was the blue RAM. However, since you do have a valid receipt for the Red RAM, I have gotten approval to have a replacement kit of the CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9R to be shipped out to you.

    Thank you for your patience!
The good news is that I am getting a replacement, but what does Alexander mean by stating that the item that was received was blue? How is that possible?

    Re: RMA Issue

    Thanks for the update.

tbh with you, I think they still believe that they received a red kit, how? baffles me. I wouldn't worry about that, as long that you are getting the correct kit, that's all that matters.

    Re: RMA Issue

Quick update and a new issue.

First my RAM arrived on Monday so I have closed the ticket, but given that I had not seen an update on my ticket over the 10 days since my RAM was delivered to the RMA depot I posted to request that someone update my Case Status, it just so happens that around the time I put in the request my RAM was delivered to the house. It is really frustrating knowing that my RAM is being dealt with but not being able to tell how far down the line it has reached. I didn't even get a despatch notification until today.

Here's the new issue, I have been emailed a notification to tell me that I have an item coming from the RMA depot, it has my name on the email but someone elses postal address, it is for a Corsair PSU, part number CMPSU-850AXUK and is for RMA number 6559912, I hope that the person at the address in Soke on Trent is the right person to be getting that PSU or someone is going to be very unhappy about such an expensive item going missing. Along with this email I was also emailed a UPS Returns Label Delivery instructions and label.

    Re: RMA Issue

Thanks, everything was sorted in terms my getting my RAM, I even managed to hustle some Corsair stickers, but the drama continued after that.

I was sent an email with a despatch notification for someone elses PSU, it had my name and obviously my email address but strangely someone else's postal address. I reported this as an issue on my original ticket and got a request asking me to forward the email so they could investigate this further. I truly hope that the information helps those that are running the RMA process as I have grown accustomed to seeing very high standards from Corsair and this recent experience has been far from that, but I am willing to put this down to the recent changes in the RMA process with the introduction of the uk based RMA facility.

Oh, and then just when I thought it was safe to go back into the battlefield I ended up with another issue, this time it hit another part of my hardware, I managed to whittle it down to either my mobo, CPU or GPU by removing parts, so currently running just one SSD, 1 stick ram and CPU, I was still getting the issue with my GPU installed but this stopped when I removed the GPU so I'll be testing the GPU on another rig tomorrow before I raise an RMA for that, I just hope that there are more of my GPU available if it does turn out that it can't be repaired.

It would be good to know if my pointing out the RMA issues has helped in any way, and if there is anything further I can do to help then I would certainly be willing to do what I can, just let me know.

    Re: RMA Issue

Glad to hear that they've got you all covered, plus some stickers

Yeah the wrong shipping label must have been a mistake in our system when the pre-paid label was generated. I already talked to our customer service about it, looks like they were able to rectify that small error. The actual PSU owner will get the correct part replacement. If I had to guess, it had something to do with the UK RMA depot transition like what you said.

I appreciate your willingness to help out and make sure our RMA is done properly every case possible. This is one of the reasons why we value you guys so much Thank you!
