As the likes of CD have been saying for ages, there's no free lunch here, GT3E will likely be priced just competitively vs a platform using a similar performing discrete card. In fact if CD is to be believed, it's priced stupid-high, and is only worth it if you're really stuck for space and can't fit a discrete GPU.

Its sad when there are people actually are desparately hoping for companies like AMD to fail,meaning 1000s of people out of work during a recession. Go onto Anandtech forums and you will see what I mean. Its bascially AMD doomed,ARM doomed,Qualcomm doomed,etc and Intel is the new massiah. TBF,it does seem worse among some of the more US centric forums.

All that to feel better about some hardware they purchased?? Really now??

Of course the fact that they had a Nvidia FCG as a mod,and have an Intel engineer as a main mod(who did not admit this for years),ultimately does not help too.

I find it amusing to read some of the deluded comments made on various news comment sections, especially places that allow guests to post.

I think Hexus forums are rare, I have looked for others of similar quality and wasn't satisfied.

Fanboy mentality makes no sense at all to me. I mean, I kinda get a few immature people (i.e. kids) who don't understand how the market works, fanboying away for monopolies. But obviously some appear to have a basic understanding of competition, and are just as bad?

I know I tend to be more supportive of AMD ATM but, as should be obvious anyway, it's largely because of their current market position and the amount of nonsense floating about about them.

People believe in fairy tails and fanciful stories and it doesn't help that we are inundated with them as children. We grow up with a very blurry line between reality and fantasy which has the side effect of encouraging people not to understand things complexly. It's easy for people to ignore information but it is even easier to believe half truths and misguided claims so it comes as no surprise that a fanboy mentality is more common.

I don't see it diminishing very soon but like everything else in history, the covers eventually come off.

It seems,there is some bottleneck in the game,once you go above a certain amount of cores and a certain CPU frequency.

It might be the EA servers.

Still,the Core i3 3220 does not do so well it seems.

It's curious that they show it only using 3 - 4 cores and not fully utilising them, yet it's still pig slow. There's a hidden bottleneck somewhere that's neither CPU nor GPU, but is dependent on both? Sounds like grotty unoptimised code to me...

Not really (only communicates infrequently), but fun to speculate. AI driven games like this can have huge bottlenecks. But then again you usually don't need super high framerates either.
