    i5 2320 turbo boost

    evening people
    just got a bargain off the bay
    got one of these cpu for £70
    but tried enabling turbo boost in bios and only seem to clock 3192mhz in cpu-z,
    when i should be getting 3.3ghz i know its seems like naff all
    but obviously id like to try get to 3.3ghz

    board is
    Asus h61

    I think, unless you are pushing the CPU then you won't see it in CPU-z as it only boosts when needed, the clock you are seeing is pretty close to the non-turbo amount of 3ghz.

    You will only see the maximum speed of 3.3GHz when a single threaded process is pushing the CPU. You should also make sure you have the latest BIOS installed as older versions may not properly support the turbo mode of newer processors.

    This. Get something single threaded and heavily loading and fire it up. The chip will only hit 3.3GHz when it needs to, *and* if it has the power budget to spare. The fact that it's at 3192 means it's already using 2 of its 3 multiplier boosts, so turbo is definitely working - it just hasn't needed to hit maximum speed yet...
