Run couple of times (6x in total, all from a USB key, 3x the following: start the PC>load the Resource Monitor>load CINEBENCH>run CINEBENCH AND 3x the following: start the PC>load the Resource Monitor>load CINEBENCH>run CINEBENCH 3x).

Literally I haven't seen disk activity higher that 6MB/s and even that was a peak. During the runs there is a minimal read activity but otherwise the score is non-changing regardless of the source.

    Hope it helps.

Yeah, that's brilliant, thanks - looks like my cunning plan should work and let me get scores from a much wider range of hardware!

You are most certainly welcome! Too bad I haven't had a chance to try any new machines :-(

Well, I've started working on my portable testing environment, but given I'm moving house this weekend further advances will have to be postponed for a few weeks

I've recently done some underclocking on my new FX-8350 and thought that I'd do some benchmarks while I was stress testing. I took a screenshot of my Cinebench results to add here.

Stylin, do you have an overclock on your system? Wondering because you are outpacing a similar proc overclocked to 4.5GHz.

Ya its OC'd 4.6ghz. I had a higher multi-core CPU score but wanted to try again and it was lower so... O well.

Just ran it again and hit this

Re: Hexus Cinebench R15 benchmark thread

Been away on vacation for a while, something caught my eye; a brand new Asrock Q1900B-ITX and an 8GB SODIMM going for about 450 ringgit or about £90. I thought it would make a good update for my parents so I put it in a CM Elite 110. I must say it is a tidy little chip. It speeds along the stuff they do easy; Office, Skype and 1080p Youtube, it is also smooth with all the Windows desktop bells and whistles unlike my old Atom netbook which couldn't even manage 720p local video.

The Elite 110 has a front 120mm fan (dropped to 900RPM in BIOS) which blows over everything keeping the CPU below 50*c even during Cinebench testing, so it could keep pegged at 2.4 throughout. Initially it got 5.86FPS on OpenGL testing then switched to Windows Classic theme and scraped another 0.18FPS.

I would have liked to test an Athlon 5350 with the Asus AM1-I but no luck finding either. The highest spec they had was the Sempron 3850 and the mATX board.

Edit: second run for the single thread performance, consistent all core number but OpenGL performance went back down.
