CPU Temps water cooled, good average or bad ?

Water cooled my CPU(custom loop) and have done a stress test 100% cpu usage for 10 min(room temp 22c)

    CPU - I7 4790k (no OC yet)
    results are:
    idle: 29c - 33c
    load: 46c - 52c

I'm pretty sure these are average temps but just wanting to make sure.

I don't know a massive amount about custom loops, but that seems about the same as I got with a H105 'thick' AIO liquid cooler and a 4670K. How many radiators do you have in the loop, and what sizes are they?

You might want to look at de-lidding that 4790K and then TIM the die with coollaboratory liquid pro.

My 3770K with liquid pro and a lapped IHS peaks at 72 degrees @ 4.8GHz after about an hour of Prime95.

Re: CPU Temps water cooled, good average or bad ?

Those temps don't look too bad.

If you really want to bring them down as Spreadie said de-lidding is an option, but its a bit of hassle and unless you intend to clock it REALLY high and run it at high load constantly I wouldn't worry.

I imagine that even with a decent OC and high load it wont surge significantly higher unless you ramp up the voltage.

They arent bad you should do 4.5 easily. I wish that Ididnt buy I7 4770k as its really hot at 4.5 with 1.2v almost 90 Celsius degree under prime (i use h100i to cool my cpu)

Those temps are pretty much what I get with a similar set up so looks all good.

I've heard about so many bad things resulting frm minor errors in applying Liquid Ultra and Liquid Pro, from heating up and spreading out, leaking and spilling into pins, corroding aluminium, etc.
It requires quite a precise application or things will go wrong.
