    I've received the monitor yesterday LG 29EB53-P and so far I am quite happy with it.
    It will get some time getting used to the ultra wide screen.
    Watching movies is amazing, no black field at the bottom and top of the screen.
    And for £250 the price was great. Thanks Macadee for the link.

    im moving home soon and sold my old 23" ipc lg. i am wanting a 27" but considering a 29" wide but would like 1200 res. whats the LG like in gaming?

    Asus PB278Q 27 inch monitor is one of the best for you in my opinion regarding all you said you needed it for like photo editing and gaming in particular.But you might want to spend a little more than you did budget for it.
