    New Monitor

Hey guys, been a while, Hexus is blocked at work

Anyway, I'm in the market for a new monitor and could use some advice.

I want a general purpose monitor to add to my PC, but one that I can also pick up and use as a "TV" with my chromecast in other rooms.
I'm after a 23-24" display with HDMI (possibly MHL), audio out, ideally speakers and a nice slim bezel.

My shortlist (in order of price):

    Philips 234E5QDAB - £120
Nice and cheap with a pair of 5w speakers and MHL.

    Iiyama X2483HSU - £135
Not the slimmest bezel, but does have a handy USB hub.

    BenQ EW2440L - £135
Ultra thin bezel and MHL, can't find info on speakers other than it has some, not encouraging.

    ASUS MX239H - £145
Ultra thin bezel, Bang & Olufsen speakers.

    Dell U2414H - £170
Ultrasharp quality, ultra thin bezel, USB hub, no speakers (can buy Dell soundbar?)

Does anyone have experience (or just opinions on) of any of these?
    A few specific questions:

Does a USB hub provide power from the monitor itself even if not connected to a PC?
How does VA compare to IPS? I kinda like the sound of the "flicker free" tech in the VA panels as I am a bit prone to headaches from some monitors.

    Re: New Monitor

I ended up getting the Dell S2415H for £151.

Lacks a lot of the features of the Ultrasharp version, but it's the same panel and has speakers.
Given that I also bought a P2214H for £86 I already have a USB hub and fully adjustable stand (both stands can be used on either monitor).

    Pretty happy
