Yes.
lol
For my needs I would say no.
But we need more information to answer your question. A lot depends on what you want to use it for, it's an IPS panel so it has the excellent colour range that IPS panels are known for but it will also have slower response and refresh rates than a TN panel which in turn has poorer viewing angles and can't display the same range of colours that a VA panel can display.
The monitor makes use of AHVA which is defined as:
Yet another proprietary "IPS-like" panel type that offers similar performance to PLS. Developed by AUO, AHVA is short for Advanced Hyper-Viewing Angle. The acronym can be slightly confusing as AHVA technology will sometimes be mixed up with Vertical Alignment (VA, see below) even though it makes use of In-Plane Switching (IPS).
I couldn't help myself and ended up buying before receiving a response. The monitor came today, and it looks great. Its works well on games that I've tested so far (Battlefield 3, Warframe, Company of Heroes, Titanfall). The audio is awful, but I don't really care. There's only one issue I've come across, and that is that Windows says the monitor is only 59hz (59.94hz to be exact), however Nvidia control panel says its 60hz. Not sure If I should be concerned.
I would happily recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap 1440p monitor.
